For Immediate Release: 10/16/2018 Knoxville TN, Muscle Shoals AL.

The Armor of God body armor ministry located in Muscle Shoals Alabama was recently handed over to Vest for Life Inc., a non-profit volunteer ministry located near Knoxville Tennessee. The ministry will continue to operate in the same capacity as it has in the past just under the new organization. Muscle Shoals Police Chief and Armor of God co-founder Clint Reck will continue to serve the ministry by sitting on the board of directors of the new Vest for Life Organization. Leadership of the ministry will be led by retired Dayton Ohio police officer Doug Kiser who lives near Knoxville Tennessee. “We are truly excited to help carry on this wonderful ministry that began with the Chief and his co-founders in Muscle Shoals nearly a decade ago” says Doug, “We have already enlisted the help of a worldwide men’s Christian ministry the Knights of Columbus to help us expand the outreach of the program.” The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal Catholic men’s organization headquartered in New Haven Connecticut and currently maintains nearly two million members worldwide. “We hope to enlist the support of hundreds of thousands of our brother Knights in this worthy cause” adds Jimmy Dee Vest for Life Board member and a District Deputy of the Knights of Columbus in Tennessee, “The core principle of our Order is charity and this project helps saves the lives of those men and women who put their lives on the line for us each and every day.”

The name “Armor of God Project” will also be changed to “St. Michael’s Shield Project” to allow the original founders to continue on with their other related charitable activities around the world. The Vest for Life Inc. staff have been working to complete this transition and will be shipping vests and taking donations by the end of October.
